I love working in my studio, but when the weather allows, I relish the opportunity to shoot outdoors. The natural beauty of the outdoors cannot be recreated. This portrait session was in celebration of a huge milestone – Turning One! It took place on the very last day of April. The tulips were in full bloom at the park and as you can see by the look on this little’s girl’s face, she had the time of her life exploring the grounds!
I also got the opportunity to photograph her adoring parents. They were just beaming with pride over their first child. Whenever I photograph families I try to capture the bond they share and the way they interact with each other. When it comes to the parents of babies and toddlers I let them know that it’s best to let baby take the lead and allow special moments to unfold on their own. The end result is spontaneous imagery that is truly meaningful.
