These are very good friends and clients of mine. Their oldest son goes to school with my son Jordan. Since we already have a great rapport they knew they could relax and have fun at their shoot. This is what I want for all the families I photograph, so I make every effort to meet them before their session date. Getting to know the people I photograph ahead of time helps quell any insecurities they may have. It also helps me to prepare a session that will meet all their expectations.
Technical skill is important, but the personal connection I have with my clients is what truly makes a successful shoot. The lasting friendships I’ve formed over the years are an added bonus. 🙂
