Holy Communion is a blessed sacrament in the Christian faith. For little boys and girls and their families it is a major milestone. Little boys look so grown up dressed in their Communion suits. It’s a wonderful opportunity for a portrait session. On this day I got to photograph a young man that I was lucky enough to photograph two years ago, along with with his adorable little brother. I was so happy to see him again for such a special occasion.
When we met for his Communion session it was an unseasonably warm day in April. We shot at one of my favorite parks and took full advantage of the beautiful surroundings. His mom brought along a prayer book that held special meaning to her son and beautiful, personalized rosary beads. He is such a sweet, thoughtful little boy so it was important for me to try and capture that in these photos.
