What better time for an extended family portrait session than when families are gathered for the holidays. The matriarch of this family had always wanted a portrait with her husband, two children and their families so her daughter contacted me. This was the first time both families had gathered in quite some time so it was the perfect opportunity for a photo shoot. We met the day after Thanksgiving. It was too cold to shoot outside so we decided to do hold their session inside the house. It was a great group of folks and the kids had so much personality! I photographed the entire family together, then shot different arrangements of each family, the grandchildren and grandparents.
Life can take families in different directions, so sadly moments like these can be few and far between. These special times should be remembered forever. And what better keepsake than a family portrait. It’s a priceless gift.
