I’ve been looking forward to this family photography session for a year. I was originally scheduled to photograph them last year, but as sometimes happens, life got in the way and they had to postpone. I was so glad when mom called to reschedule. I love photographing families but a multi-generation family photo shoot is extra special.
Two little boys, ages 4 and 6, greeted me when I arrived at their gorgeous home in Basking Ridge, NJ. I knew straight away I wanted to get photos of them on their front steps. I was shooting in the morning so time was of the essence. I needed to get the shots before the sun moved too high in the sky causing harsh shadows. While it was important to me to get the entire family together I also wanted to get photos of the boys individually and with their parents. They did a great job coordinating their outfits for a cohesive look.
