This was one of the most fun sessions I had all year! It was the end of November and getting too cold to shoot outside so Mom opted for an indoor studio session. I had an idea that was a little “outside the box”. I first met mom and dad at the Fall Festival in Martinsville, NJ in September. From the moment I met them I got a fun-loving, easy-going vibe so I thought they would be very receptive to my portrait concept. My idea was to set up a family bed in my studio. Very clean and simple, no props, and all white. Mom loved the idea! The day of the portrait session the whole family arrived looking super cute in their Christmas pajamas. Big brother Leo even dyed his hair green in celebration of Christmas. The kids got to jump and play on the air mattress, which served as the bed, making it easier for me to get some fun candid shots and authentic smiles.
