What can I say about newborn sessions that I haven’t already said? They’re one of the most special things I get to do as a photographer. And every session is a unique and beautiful experience. From the moment they leave the womb newborns exhibit their own distinct personalities. And like all young children they are unpredictable. 🙂 Photographing newborns is a challenge, but one I happily welcome!
This baby was just five days old when she arrived at my studio. Younger newborns are sleepier and therefore easier to pose and she was no exception. She was so tolerant and allowed me to do just about every pose I tried, including being suspended in air! Don’t worry, it’s not as dangerous as it sounds. The final image is actually a composite of several shots. Mom and Dad are standing right beside her, but you’d never know it because I photoshopped them out. It turned out beautiful and reminded me of the classic story of the stork delivering a little cloth bundle. 🙂
