The mom of this beautiful newborn first came to visit me at my studio in October. She was expecting her first child and wanted custom portraits to commemorate this joyous occasion. During the preconsultation we discussed how and where the photos would be showcased. Our discussion helped me to decide which colors and props to use so I could prepare her session. This mom had a “Sock Monkey” themed nursery so she brought along an adorable sock monkey knit hat. I attached a red bow to the hat to give it some feminine flair. I began by photographing her on a beanbag covered in a soft, peach-colored blanket. Next, we placed her in a basket lined with white faux fur.
I am so honored to be the first to photograph this sweet little girl. Every newborn session is a unique and special experience and it brings me such joy to give these families something that will always remind them of one of the most precious times of their lives.
