Most professional portraits are taken when kids are young. They are changing so rapidly, it’s only natural for parents to want as many photos of them as possible. As children get older, however, parents are less likely to make it a priority and kids are seemingly less likely to want to be photographed. But kids are always evolving and to skip these formative years would be a shame. I photographed these beautiful sisters in their own backyard. A familiar environment can help put older children at ease. If you have a teen you already know that childhood goes by in the blink of an eye. And the teen years will pass just as fast. Any age is a right age for professional portrait.
