After photographing newborns all these years there’s one thing I know for certain. No newborn is alike. Happily this little girl was a newborn photographer’s dream! To begin with she arrived at my studio sound asleep. Then she continued to sleep peacefully as I posed her with her gorgeous parents. This is atypical, especially when newborns are photographed in the nude, but she was so amenable I was able to get some very difficult poses.
When moms call me to book their newborn session they don’t always consider having their portrait taken as well. It’s usually because they think they won’t look their best. As a mother of two, I completely understand. But I try to encourage them to set aside their insecurities and embrace this time because you can never get it back. Just look how beautiful this new mom looks.
